Community Statement of Support

For more than eighty years, America's Air Commandos have answered the Nation's call in its most demanding moments. From World War II to today's global special operations missions, they have shown courage, adaptability, innovation, and quiet professionalism in defense of freedom.

The Air Commando Heritage Foundation is leading the effort to build and sustain a world-class Air Commando Museum in the publicly accessible Air Commando Air Park at Hurlburt Field, Florida, home to Air Force Special Operations Command.

The Museum will preserve and portray the history of all Air Commandos, past, present, and future, while serving as a national center for education, inspiration, remembrance, and public understanding. It will honor those who served, recognize families and support professionals, preserve irreplaceable artifacts and personal stories, and strengthen the connection between the American public and one of our Nation's most distinguished military communities.

The Museum will further advance the Foundation's mission to:

• Inspire future generations through education, leadership, service, and pride in the Air Force Special Operations community.
• Preserve Air Commando stories, artifacts, missions, and innovations across more than eight decades of service.
• Honor Air Commandos, their families, veterans, and the dedicated personnel whose expertise makes every mission possible.
• Educate visitors through immersive exhibits, firsthand accounts, and hands-on learning.
• Strengthen military heritage tourism, economic development, and the partnership between the Air Commando community and the Emerald Coast.

We believe the Air Commando Museum will become a nationally recognized institution worthy of the extraordinary legacy it preserves.

Accordingly, we proudly endorse the Air Commando Heritage Foundation's efforts to plan, fund, construct, and sustain the Air Commando Museum, and encourage public, private, philanthropic, and governmental partners to support this national endeavor to preserve heritage, honor service, and build a lasting Air Commando legacy.
